Singer/Songwriter Steven Winslow was born and raised in Southern California. Crafting lyrically-based songs, blending pop, acoustic, and contemporary country music, rooted in storytelling that sounds as much at home in Southern California as it does in Nashville.
In high school, Steven began playing guitar and leading worship at his local church. During that time, Steven discovered country music after hearing a Keith Urban album. Inspired by Urban’s songs and guitar work, Steven began diving into the world of country music, listening to artists both past and present, and developing his own playing and songwriting style.
In summer of 2009, Steven began training with world-renowned vocal coach and producer, Ron Anderson (Maroon 5, Selena Gomez, Red Hot Chili Peppers). Steven has been in, and worked with (both as a writer, in-studio, and live performance), numerous bands and artists of different genres over his fifteen-plus years of playing guitar, both in amateur and professional settings.
Steven continued his performance training as an actor at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, California before booking his first acting role at the Camino Real Playhouse in San Juan Capistrano, California. Steven continued his formal acting education at the Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles. After gaining on-set experience and sharpening his craft in student films around the greater Orange County and Los Angeles areas, Steven continued to develop his growing career, appearing in both independent film and commercial work, earning his membership with SAG-AFTRA.
Throughout that time, Steven was also completing his collegiate coursework, working toward a Communications Degree in Radio, Television, and Film. He graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in spring 2015.
